Luiz Gadelha holds a degree in Mathematics from the University of Brasília (1997), a M.Sc. degree in Computer Science from the University of Brasília (2000) and a D.Sc. in Computer and Systems Engineering from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (2012), which included an internship at the University of Chicago (2010). He is currently a Senior Technologist at the Data Extreme Lab (DEXL) of the National Laboratory for Scientific Computing. He has experience in the areas of scientific data management and high performance computing, working mainly on the following topics: provenance, parallel and distributed scientific workflows, bioinformatics and information technology in biodiversity.
Alex Borges Vieira is an associate professor at the computer science department of Universidade Federal de Juiz de Fora.
He has productivity in research scholarship (Bolsa PQ – CNPq) level 2. Currently, he is a visiting professor at the National Laboratory for Scientific Computing (LNCC), Brazil.
D.Sc. in Computational Modeling at LNCC (National Laboratory for Scientific Computing) with focus on Computational Biology and Bioinformatics. Currently, she is a postdoctoral researcher at INCA (Brazilian National Institute of Cancer). Her work involves themes such as multi-omics data integration and oncovirology. Frequently, she uses e-science approaches including no-SQL databases (especially graph databases), scientific workflows and HPC(High-Performance Computing).

Yania Molina Souto graduated in Informatics from University of Informatics Sciences (UCI) in Havana, Cuba (2007). She obtained the masters degree in Bioinformatic by InsTEC in Havana, Cuba (2010), and the Ph.D. degree in Computational Modeling at the National Laboratory of Scientific Computing (LNCC) of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil (2018). She has experience in computer science, with emphasis on Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, mainly in the following areas: Data Base, Data Analysis, Data Mining, Machine Learning, Deep Learning and Uncertainty Quantification.

decades in the ICT industry, Klaus Wehmuth came back to academia to pursue a
Ph.D. in Computational Modeling at the National Laboratory for Scientific
Computing (LNCC), a research unit of the Brazilian Ministry of Science,
Technology, Innovation and Communication (MCTIC) located in Petrópolis, Brazil.
Currently, he holds a B.Sc. degree in Information Systems, a M.Sc. and a Ph.D. in
A Ph.D. student at the National Laboratory for Scientific Computing (LNCC) and also a software developer, Anderson Silva has a M.Sc. degree in Systems and Computing from the Military Institute of Engineering (IME) since 2018. He has defended his dissertation in the area of Spectral Graph Theory, presenting theorems and heuristics for the Maximum Algebraic Connectivity Augmentation Problem. In the same year, he worked at LNCC on high-performance computing tasks. He has received a B.Sc. degree in Computer Science from Universitary Center Serra dos Órgãos (Unifeso) in Teresópolis (Brazil) in 2014, where he developed a system that used image processing techniques, in Python. He has also worked both as an instructor and in the development of commercial systems.

Caroline de Oliveira Costa Souza Rosa obtained her bachelor’s degree in Production Engineering from the Fluminense Federal University in 2017 and her master’s degree in Computational Modeling in Science and Technology, under the supervision of Professor Eliane da Silva Christo, PhD, from the same university in 2019. She is currently taking a doctor’s degree in Computational Modeling from the National Laboratory for Scientific Computing (LNCC).

Diogo Pereira da Silva Santos has a bachelor's degree in Computational Mathematics from the Federal University of Paraíba (UFPB) and a M.Sc degree in Computational Modeling from the National Laboratory for Scientific Computing (LNCC). Since 2020 he is currently a doctorate student at the National Laboratory for Scientific Computing.
Gustavo Decarlo is a data engineer with more than 4 years of experience in the market, working in large companies like Globo and Stone, with Apache Spark, Hadoop, Cloud solutions for Big data, in projects to make data lakes, lake houses to business turn data driven decisions. Recently joined a Master degree in Computational Modeling program in LNCC focusing on the Big data Workflow problem to optimize.

Matheus R. F. Mendonça is currently a Phd candidate in
Computational Modeling at the National Laboratory for Scientific
Computing (LNCC), located in the city of Petrópolis, RJ, Brazil. In
2013, he received a B.Sc. degree in Exact Sciences, followed by a B.Sc.
degree in Computer Science in 2014 and a M.Sc. degree in Computer
Science in 2016, all obtained at the Federal University of Juiz de Fora
(UFJF), located in the city of Juiz de Fora, MG, Brazil. His research is
focused mainly in the application of Machine Learning methods for
solving problems from the Network Science research area. The main focus

My name is Rafael Silva Pereira, i am a bachelor in Physics by Universidade Federal Fluminense(UFF), graduated in 2018. On my graduation i worked on complex systems both with differential equations as well as using game theory and agent based models. There i was first introduced to data science which is the field i currently work on as a masters degree student in LNCC, where i work in the problems of image classification using Deep Learning, Data cleaning via statitical analysis, as well as pattern recgoniction on texts using text mining.

Thiago Moeda is currently Master's student at the Data Extreme Lab (DEXL) of the National Laboratory for Scientific Computing (LNCC) and computer technician in the Geophysics coordination of the National Observatory (ON), both institutions are units of the Brazilian Ministry of Science, Technology, Innovations, and Communications (MCTIC). He holds a degree in Graphic Design from Universidade Estácio de Sá and a postgraduate degree in Software Engineering from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro, UFRJ. His research interests include unsupervised methodologies, event detection, graphical visualization and mining time series data.
Victor Ribeiro is a M.Sc student who undergraduates in Information and Communication Technology from the Faculty of Technological Education of the State of Rio de Janeiro (FAETERJ) in 2018.
