During the weekend there was the second edition of Hackathon Fiocruz / SUS, four themes were proposed in order to generate applications with social return to Fiocruz and the population, the themes were: Ticks, Tuberculosis, Chatbot and Arboviroses. The event lasted 2 days at the Fiocruz premises where participants were restricted from leaving, providing all the necessary conditions for participants to perform at their activities (open wifi network, tables, great meals with short breaks, massage chairs, coffee) regular, areas for socialization and entertainment among others) adding a high network to the participants. The themes were raffled and each team had the help of a mentor, who was responsible for proposing the theme answering questions and assisting when necessary. The winning teams (one per theme) will receive financial support from Icict / Fiocruz for 6 months to implement the proposed idea, consultancy provided by a technology company and a trip to any technology event in Brazil during the year 2020. with all expenses paid for the event. The DEXL - LNCC team was assembled by members of the research group, led by student Henrique Matheus Ferreira da Silva composed by Enver Choque, Rafael Silva Perreira and João Guilherme Nobre representing the DEXL - LNCC. The DEXL - LNCC team was awarded the Tick theme by proposing a platform that would receive 2 dice, the person's location and a tick photo (being possible to take the photo on the spot or from the gallery itself) using a convolution neural network. , the app would return the likelihood of the tick being harmful or not, showing on screen giving the option to redirect the user to the Ministry of Health website for more information, and if the tick is harmful, the app recommends the user look for the Nearest Primary Health Care Unit (UBS) if you have had contact with the tick, printing the nearby UBS on a map (in addition to all other UBSs on screen). The execution had some challenges as described by the participants: "We sought to develop an application that would actually impact people's lives. For that, mentoring was very important. Our group worked with a large amount of data, but we didn't know it. , for example, there were so many tick ratings. We came here very raw on the subject, but the mentors' support and information made it possible to come up with our model. ”The team was awarded the challenge in its category and will develop the application with Icict / Fiocruz Institution's full support over the next 6 months.
